1 | white onion, chopped | |
1 ½ cup | vegetable or chicken stock | |
1 | 796 ml can Pastene San Marzano DOP Tomatoes | |
1 tsp | salt |
Directions
Prep time: 5 minutes | Cook time: 30-40 minutes
- In a large saucepan, melt butter on medium heat.
- Add onions, stock, tomatoes with juices, and salt.
- Simmer and cook, untouched, for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Puree the soup with an a blender.
- Serve with fresh basil and croutons, if desired.
